Michael A. Burdess , 52, of 300 S. Nicholas St., St. Clair, died Thursday February 23, 2017 at Reading Hospital and Medical Center, West Reading.
Born in Pottsville, May 21, 1964, He was a son of the late Robert Burdess Jr. and Ann (Mokelar) Burdess Szalku.
He was a 1982 Graduate of St. Clair Area High School.
Michael served 7 years in the US Army.
Following his military service he worked in the metal industry; 19 years at SAPA followed by 6 Years at Carpenter Technologies, Reading.
He was a member of St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, St. Clair.
He was preceded in death by 4 brothers Steven Burdess; Frank, Raymond and Peter Szalku.
Surviving are his wife of 12 years Cheryl E. Burdess; son Jason Burdess and his wife Maryellen of Milton; daughter Amanda Kadingo and her husband Jason of Minersville; 3 brothers Robert Burdess; Rev. James Burdess; Joseph Burdess and his wife Beverly; 2 sisters Terry Barvitskie and Tracy Weigel; his former wife Constance Burdess of Pottsville, 2 Grandchildren Collin and Lilah Kadingo; Furry companions Charlie, Chewie, Cuda and Chico; Nieces and Nephews.
Memorial Service will be held at 5:00 PM Sunday March 5, 2016 from Bruce T. Hart Funeral Home, 110 North Second Street St. Clair. The Rev. James Burdess will be officiating. .
